Laksania

Dinnered with a friend this past week and we stumbled into Laksania at Nex! Was such a cool concept where the restaurant is laksa based! Was ravenous that day, so we hurried to order. Photos are taken using my camera phone, so the quality isn't that good. Apologies!

 laksa goreng

I did quite like the taste of this one. Picture a mee goreng, but with a hint of laksa, a lot of prawns and eggs. It was quite tasty, and the serving was big as well.

chicken spaghetti

This tastes abit like cream sauce spaghetti, but better, because it was spicy and more suited to our asian tastebuds. The gravy was thick and had bits of chicken in it. I loved it because the gravy was quite awesome :)

Actually, my friend had one complaint. That the spoon they give was too big. HAHA. It's true though. It couldnt even fit into my mouth. Would have been easier to gobble the gravy with a normal spoon.

If you're looking to try something different and convenient, do drop by Nex or any of their other outlets for this restaurant!

Sakura Cuisine, again!

I told you before that my family loves dining at the Sakura restaurant at Far East. Well, one day before I started work, we had lunch there again.

 beef fried rice

tom yam fried rice

I LOVE Sakura's fried rice. The beef in the beef fried rice was tender and well-cooked. And the tom yam fried rice has the right amount of masam-ness that a tom yam flavour should have.

 pineapple fried rice

I rarely eat/taste pineapple fried rice, so I guess I don't have a lot to compare. But I'm pretty sure normal pineapple fried rice has chicken floss on them? Do they? Hahah well anyhow, the taste complemented each other and I could only wish that they gave more floss.

 beef kway teow

Yummy as usual. I think I've raved about this before hehe.

 tom yam soup

Hahah if the tom yam fried rice had a nice tom yam flavour, then tom yam lovers would love this :) Not personally a big fan of tom yam, but I did fine myself drinking up the soup!

 hotplate beancurd

My family loves this and that alone should tell you that it's nice!

Hahahah we ordered this squid thingy that I only managed to take a picture of when there were 3 left. Oops. Hahaha. Well, not a fan of this to be honest, I'd rather eat OCK!

Hong Kong Streats Cafe

Wow, raya is almost finishing and I haven't posted anything yet. My bad, indeed. Well, I went to Hong Kong Streats cafe at IMM the other day for a late lunch, and this is what my friend and I had!

 Ice Lime Tea

Okay, not a fan. Thought it tasted weird. Somewhat like green tea, though my friend disagreed.

 Shanghai Dumpling

It looked like something that we ate at Tang Teahouse, so we wanted to try it there. But there were a lot of vege in there unlike TTH's which had a lot of meat.

 Chongqing chicken

Oooh this was nice! It's like fried chicken with dried chili taste. Crispy and spicy chicken, yum!

Hong Kong Cheese Baked Chicken Chop Spaghetti

I looooove the amount of cheese that they put. I love cheese and I was simply scrapping off all the cheese heh. But the pasta itself was boring and tasted like any plain ol' pasta, and the chicken was full of fats. Not very satisfactory.

The Hong Kong Streats Cafe at IMM has an open concept where it's in the middle of the mall and everyone can see us dining. Lol it makes for a bit of an unfomfortable situation.

Price wise, 1 drink, 1 main dish and 2 side dishes costs about $31 something. I lost my receipt, so now I'm wondering how much my dishes are. I only liked the chongqing chicken, out of my entire meal. Would I go there again? Hmm not in the near future, but I probably will in the future because there are always other things to try!

They don't have a website for me to advertise but there are a lot of other food reviewers online. But hey, stop reading, get your ass out to restaurant, and tell me your own opinion instead! ;)
