Laksania, part 2 :)

Had a sort of family day out yesterday, so I brought the family to Laksania! I know that my taste palate and my parent's are different, so I was worried they wouldn't like it! But I needn't worry because they did like it :D

Waiting for our food in hunger!

Singapore Laksa-
They're very generous with their servings! Alot of prawns, taupok and fishcake.

Penang Laksa-
As of usual, Penang Laksa doesn't have a lot of "goodies" in them like the Singapore Laksa. But that doesn't mean that it's any less tasty!

Laksa Goreng-
Hehe I ate this my first time there. Love this dish, really. It's a hearty serving, together with a generous portion of "goodies"

Beef burger with fries-
This was mine! Decided to try something new, and this was one of the recommended choices. No regrets, because it was really nice! The beef was easy to cut with a knife (because this isnt a fastfood and eating with hands is a no no!). Little fries, and small amount of dip though! The dip and fries were gorrrrrrrrgeous :D

Just the drinks, of which none was mine. Anyway, all of the food above - 5 dishes, 3 drinks and 1 mineral water- costs about $55.30. No service charge!! :D They recently opened an outlet at Bugis+ too, so head down to one of the outlets to try it!

Usman Restaurant

I'm really excited to be sharing with you guys about this place! So awhile ago, my pregnant sister told my parents that she was craving for Indian food. Specifically, the naan at Serangoon Road. So because my brother in law worked till late at night, we all decided to accompany her to eat :D

Walking at night at Serangoon! I felt like I was in Malaysia hehe.

The place is called Usman Restaurant, and is located a short walk away from Mustafa Centre. Tbh, I was following blindly, so I didn't know the address or how to get there. But I googled for the address, and I'll mention it later.

This place sells many food, but the specialty (according to my sister) was the naan. And the picture below depicts the different types of curries they have available.

the tandoori chicken - but we didn't try it though

The food service there was really good. The server was friendly and funny, he kept laughing and teasing me for taking the pictures.

 the potato thingy

HAHA this is my sister's fault. She was the one ordering, and she didn't know the name of this thing. So she said "the potato thingy", and most surprisedly, the server could understand us.

 keema

Yes the keema was nice! :D Hahaha alamak *awkward silence as idk how to describe nice keemas* Well, just take my word for it!
butter chicken

I know the picture doesn't look appetising, but it really is! And I don't know why butter chicken is red and looks like curry. Hahaha. But try that if you go there alright!

And here are our naans.

 garlic naan

 plain naan

 butter naan

 cheese naan

Big right :D Hoho. Anyway, look, I was trying to take a picture of them from afar, but my server dragged me to go closer.

This is where they cook our naans in!

making the dough

What's better a good meal?

A CHEAP ONE.

:D

Hahahaha 5 naans, 1 plate of keema, 2 plates of butter chicken, 2 plates of potato thingy, and 5 drinks costs $20plus. Yep. Okay it's so cheap that now I'm wondering if they charged us wrongly :0

Anyway, do try out the food, and comment me about what you think!
