Risotto at Pastamania

Hi all!

So I'm sure all of you have heard of Pastamania. Well, who hasn't right. Ever since it became halal, I've been pretty much going there every time I crave for pasta. So this time, when I went to Pastamania yesterday, I decided to try the risotto!

I've never tried risotto before actually, so I was curious as to what would turn up. I mean, looking at the pictures, it looks like it's just rice. But... It's an italian dish! So I thought maybe it was different. Btw, wiki told me that a risotto is a type of Italian dish cooked in broth to a creamy consistency.

So I ordered the prawns and mussels risotto. Lol, so as this was my first time eating risotto, I don't really have anything to comment on.

Overall, the taste was pleasant, and there was a mild taste of cheese. For a cheese lover like me, I do wish there was more of that cheesy/creamy taste though! There were only 2 shells of mussels (did I say that right? lol), which was good for me since  I don't eat them. And plenty of prawns! Which again, is good for me cuz I like prawns. Hehe. You don't see the prawns here cuz it's hidden underneath the rice.

It costs $9.90 btw!

I ate this at the pastamania at Leisure Kallang Park. Gosh, here's a bit of advise. Don't dine there. Really. Haha, I don't know if it's that outlet's staff's inefficiency, or something screwed up in their kitchen that day. But the nets machine was spoiled, service was slow, there were no utensils, and when asked about it, the server went to the back to grab a bunch of them using his bare hands and dumped it on the basket without even a smile nor comment.

And well, if that doesn't deter you, that place is currently crawling with screaming, crying and whining kids because of the ongoing Disney on Ice show.

Pastamania
Cost: $9.90
